1. Purpose

This policy explains how PumpDiary collects, uses, stores and protects users' personal data. It is interpreted in light of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and the GDPR where applicable.

2. Local-first approach

Local mode without an account:

  • The application can be used without creating an account.
  • Entered data stays on the user's device, in an encrypted local database when the platform allows it.
  • No personal data is transmitted to PumpDiary servers in this mode.

Premium account mode with online backup:

  • Advanced features may require an account, a premium subscription and explicit consent for online processing of health-related data.
  • Data is synchronized with Supabase, our hosting provider, encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • Withdrawal of consent for online backup blocks synchronization and may result in deletion of synchronized online backup data.
